Naomi Campbell has organized a celebrity fashion show, Fashion For Relief™-Haiti NYC, 2010, to help CARE raise money to rebuild Haiti’s health care system for mothers and children. The fashion show will be hosted by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York and will be held on Friday, February 12Th, at 7PM EST under the tents in Bryant Park. Even though most fashion shows are closed to the general public, this show will be open to the public via ticket sales on a first-come, first-served basis. The donation is 100% tax deductible and all ticket sales will benefit CARE. This is a fabulous way to help deserving people as well as to experience Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in its final year under the famous tents at Bryant Park.

Tickets are currently being pre-sold to American Express cardholders here and will be opening up to the rest of the public on February 8th at 10AM. Mark your calendars now! This will be an event not to be missed. See you at the show.

The first thing you notice when you see Carrie Bradshaw stepping out of her apartment building in the latest Sex and the City 2 trailer is the gorgeously adorable white dress she has on. It’s a definite throwback to the days of disco- which led to no surprise that after doing some light digging, we found the dress in question was by Halston! More specifically, the Halston Heritage V-Neck Jersey Dress.

Very appropriate that SJP’s character greets us for the first time (since we last saw her) in this Halston number. It’s not really news anymore, but just in case you were hiding out under a rock, SJP was recently appointed as creative director for Halston Heritage. It’s also rumored that there are quite a few pieces from the collection in the movie. Coincidence?

Narisco Rodriguez recently released a new fragrance called Essence. There are a number of new fragrances out, but Essense is far superior in my book. I’ve been pretty committed to Chance by Chanel so walking by the perfume counters doesn’t usually phase me. I was in Saks a few weeks ago and it happened to be the release and promotion day for Essence, Narisco’s latest fragrance. As I walked by they handed me a sample spritzed on a long white ribbon. As I walked away I pulled it up to my nose and expected to dismiss it as per usual, but this time I was caught off guard. Essense is a truly unique fragrance and encompasses both the lightly floral feminine scent of rose petals as well as a slightly more powerful sophisticated hint of amber. It is the scent I’ve always looked for, but had yet to exist. It’s the perfect scent for a flirtatious yet sophisticated modern woman.
